drakengard-3-playstation-3
Drakengard 3 - PlayStation 3

Drakengard 3 for the PlayStation 3 is a dark, subversive action-RPG set in a medieval world where six sisters known as Intoners — women gifted with the ability to manipulate magic through song — have brought peace to the land.

The story follows Zero, the eldest and most dangerous of the sisters, who opens the game by attempting to murder her five siblings with cold and deliberate purpose. Partnered with a young dragon named Mikhail, Zero cuts a bloody path through each of her sisters' territories while the true reason behind her rampage — and the terrifying secret buried within Zero herself — slowly surfaces across multiple branching story routes. Created by director Yoko Taro, the mind behind NieR and the NieR: Automata series, Drakengard 3 carries the same DNA as those games: a deceptively playful exterior wrapped around a profoundly disturbing and emotionally complex narrative that rewards players who see it through to its most extreme conclusions.

Gameplay alternates between ground-based hack-and-slash combat and aerial dragon battles. On the ground, Zero wields four weapon types — swords, bracers, chakrams, and spears — each upgradeable through repeated use, and can be accompanied by up to two AI disciples who join over the course of the story. Building combos fills Zero's Tension Gauge, which powers her Intoner Mode: a frenzied transformation that dramatically increases her speed and attack power while making her temporarily invulnerable. In the air, players ride Mikhail through enemy formations in on-rails aerial combat sequences that break up the ground action. The game was developed by Access Games — chosen specifically for their action game expertise — to address longstanding criticisms of the series' combat, and represents the most mechanically polished entry in the Drakengard franchise.

Developed by Access Games and published by Square Enix, Drakengard 3 released in Japan in December 2013 and in North America on May 20, 2014. It was created by the same core team behind the original Drakengard and NieR — producer Takamasa Shiba, director Yoko Taro, and writer Sawako Natori — with a soundtrack composed by Keiichi Okabe, who also scored NieR and NieR: Automata. The game serves as a prequel to the original Drakengard, set approximately 100 years before its events, and sits within the same interconnected universe as the NieR series. With no remaster or modern port currently available, the PS3 disc remains the only way to experience Drakengard 3 on hardware.

Japanese Title: ドラッグ オン ドラグーン3 (Drag-On Dragoon 3)
Language: English
Rating: M (Mature) — Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language
Platform: PlayStation 3
Genre: Action RPG / Hack-and-Slash
Players: 1 player
Developer: Access Games
Publisher: Square Enix
Release Year: 2014 (North American release: May 20, 2014)

Not included in our free shipping campaign

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0565/7673/7365/files/1600_4_3e20bdc0-1f35-42d9-b50a-c1331afb4d01.jpg?v=1781162740
