What it means is that he is now a participant in the Sekirei Plan — a tournament organized by the megacorporation MBI in which Sekirei battle each other across Tokyo until only one remains. Minato, who has never wanted to fight anyone, accumulates additional Sekirei: the lightning-wielder Tsukiumi, the plant-controller Kusano, the wind-user Matsu who prefers surveillance, and the sword-wielding Kazehana.
