trinity-seven-blu-ray
Trinity Seven - Blu-ray

Arata Kasuga has been living in a pleasant bubble — a peaceful town, his beloved cousin Hijiri beside him every day. Then the Black Sun appears in the sky, and the Breakdown Phenomenon tears everything apart. The town is destroyed. Hijiri is gone. The world Arata was living in, it turns out, was a magical recreation — a fantasy sustained by a grimoire Hijiri placed around his neck to protect him from the Collapse. Now the real world has reasserted itself, and agents from the Royal Biblia Academy have come to collect him. He has manifested the rarest and most dangerous magical classification: Demon Lord. Rather than being detained or destroyed, Arata is enrolled. The Academy houses the Trinity Seven — seven female mages of exceptional power, each associated with one of the seven Thema categories derived from the seven deadly sins, whose grimoires are linked to the same research that destroyed his town. To restore Hijiri, Arata has to master their Thema. They, for their own various reasons, are not necessarily opposed to helping him. The series follows Arata navigating magical academia, an increasingly complicated household dynamic, and the looming question of what happens when a Demon Lord fully awakens.

Trinity Seven is a 12-episode magic academy harem series produced by Seven Arcs Pictures — the studio behind Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Dog Days, and White Album 2 — directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori (Azumanga Daioh, A Certain Magical Index), and based on Kenji Saitō and Akinari Nao's manga serialized in Monthly Dragon Age under Kadokawa Shoten. It aired on AT-X and other channels from October to December 2014. The series is distinguished within its genre by a male lead who is unapologetically confident, openly interested in the women around him, and deployed less as a passive harem centerpiece than as an active participant with a genuine goal — a characterization choice that gives the series more comedic energy than most genre contemporaries. The music was composed by Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund. Sentai Filmworks released the Complete Collection on Blu-ray and DVD on August 16, 2016 — a 2-disc set with 12 episodes, running 300 minutes, with English dub and Japanese audio.

Notable Staff & Voice Talent

Director: Hiroshi Nishikiori
Series Composition: Kenji Saitō (
Original Manga: Kenji Saitō (story) & Akinari Nao (art) — serialized in Monthly Dragon Age, Kadokawa Shoten)
Studio: Seven Arcs Pictures
Music: Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund
Opening Theme: "Seven Doors" by ZAQ
Ending Themes: Multiple per episode — "StOrMy StOrMy" / "Setsuna no Hikari" / "Resolve" / "Rondo" / "Envy Capricious" / "Last Engage" / "Colorless Sky" / others performed by individual character voice actresses

Japanese Cast:
• Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Arata Kasuga (Sword Art Online — Kirito)
• Aya Uchida as Lilith Asami
• Ryōko Shiraishi as Levi Kazama
• Rina Hidaka as Arin Kannazuki
• Yumi Hara as Mira Yamana
• Nao Tōyama as Yui Kurata
• Ayane Sakura as Akio Fudou
• Yōko Hikasa as Liese Sherlock

English Dub Cast (Sentai Filmworks — Houston):
• Cameron Bautsch as Arata Kasuga
• Allison Sumrall as Lilith Asami
• Christina Stroup as Levi Kazama
• Carli Mosier as Arin Kannazuki
• Cynthia Martinez as Mira Yamana
• Chelsea McCurdy as Yui Kurata
• Ayane Sakura as Akio Fudou
• Patricia Duran as Liese Sherlock

Blu-ray Features (Sentai Filmworks Complete Collection, August 16, 2016)

• All 12 Episodes on 2 Discs — Complete Series (~300 min)
• Clean Opening Animation
• Clean Closing Animations (multiple — one per character/episode)
• Sentai Filmworks Previews
• English DTS-HD Master Audio / Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio

Spoken Languages: English & Japanese Audio, English Subtitles

Edition Details

Japanese Title: トリニティセブン 7人の魔書使い (Toriniti Sebun: Shichinin no Masho Tsukai / Trinity Seven: The Seven Magicians)
Runtime: ~300 Minutes (Complete Series, 12 Episodes, 2 Discs)
Director: Hiroshi Nishikiori
Blu-ray Release Year: 2016
Original Broadcast Date (Japan): October 8 – December 26, 2014
Publisher: Sentai Filmworks
Rating: 14+
Region: Region A (North America)
Genre: Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Harem
Themes: Demon Lord Magic User, Seven Deadly Sins Thema, Magic Academy, Confident Male Lead, Rescue Motivation

Media assumed VG+ unless otherwise noted.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0565/7673/7365/files/C39B2134-62B1-4D34-AED9-56CA55CECEC9.jpg?v=1784769332
