Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS is the fourth entry in Capcom's beloved courtroom adventure series and the first title designed from the ground up for the DS hardware. Set seven years after the events of Trials and Tribulations, Phoenix Wright has hung up his attorney's badge, and a new rookie lawyer takes center stage: the passionate and determined Apollo Justice.
Armed with his unique "Perceive" ability — which lets him spot subtle nervous tics and involuntary movements in witnesses during cross-examination — Apollo fights through four gripping cases packed with twists, deception, and the series' signature brand of dramatic courtroom chaos.
The prosecutor he faces is unlike any before him: Klavier Gavin, a charming German rock star who is also Apollo's mentor's brother, and who often ends up cooperating with rather than opposing the defense.
DS-exclusive forensics mini-games add a hands-on layer to investigations, tasking players with lifting fingerprints, casting shoe prints in plaster, and analyzing crime scene evidence using the touch screen.
Written by Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi, the game features some of the darkest and most mature storytelling in the series, with a overarching mystery that ties all four cases together in a deeply satisfying conclusion.
