Keiichi Morisato is an engineering student at Nekomi Institute of Technology - good-natured, hardworking, and consistently overlooked. While his dormmates take advantage of his easygoing nature, Keiichi dials what he thinks is a takeout order and accidentally connects to the Goddess Relief Office. Belldandy appears through his mirror - gentle, radiant, and entirely sincere - offering to grant him one wish. Keiichi, flustered and convinced it's a joke, wishes for a goddess like her to stay with him forever. The wish is granted immediately. Belldandy moves in. His dormitory promptly bans women from the premises. The two are forced out and begin a new domestic arrangement in an abandoned shrine, where the chaos of cohabitation with an actual deity begins in earnest - followed soon by Belldandy's sisters Urd, who is loud and meddlesome, and Skuld, who is brilliant and twelve years old and entirely opposed to her sister dating a human.

Ah! My Goddess is a 26-episode romantic fantasy comedy produced by Anime International Company, directed by Hiroaki Goda, and based on Kosuke Fujishima's landmark manga serialized in Monthly Afternoon since 1988 - one of the longest-running manga series in Kodansha's history. The TV series aired on TBS from January 6 to July 14, 2005, with two bonus OVA episodes included on the Japanese home video release. The score was composed by Kenji Kawai.
