From the mobile game Azur Lane, the Sakura Empire's iconic sister ship duo Atago and Takao have each been recreated as stunning 1/7 scale figures by Alter, both sculpted by Makio Munetoshi with color production by Hoshina Eimi. Based on their beloved Stunning Speedster and Full Throttle Charmer race queen skins, the two heavy cruisers make for a perfectly matched display pair.

Atago commands attention in a tiny high-gloss black bikini, thigh-high stockings, and white high heels — parasol in hand as her voluminous dark hair and perky cat ears catch the breeze.

Takao meanwhile cuts an equally striking figure in a super-glossy skintight one-piece combined with a sheer body stocking, its transparent sections expertly painted with fabric-like wrinkling for a breathtakingly realistic effect, as her long dark ponytail swings mid-turn toward the viewer.

Together they form a gloriously complementary set that is greater than the sum of its already exceptional parts.

Azur Lane is a massively popular side-scrolling shoot 'em up and tactical RPG developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi, published by Yostar, first launched in China in 2017 before expanding globally. The game features a vast cast of shipgirls — anthropomorphized representations of real-world warships reimagined as stylish and memorable characters in a vibrant alternate history world. Atago and Takao, based on the Imperial Japanese Navy heavy cruisers of the same names, are two of the game's most iconic and beloved Sakura Empire characters — celebrated for their contrasting yet perfectly complementary personalities, stunning designs, and the remarkable quality of figure releases they continue to inspire as one of Azur Lane's most cherished sister ship pairings.
