Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! - Playstation 3

Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! for the PlayStation 3 is a 2D anime fighting game developed by Examu and Arc System Works, featuring an all-female roster drawn from the Arcana Heart universe. Set in a world where dimensional rifts have begun appearing across Japan, young girls called "Maidens" who can form contracts with celestial beings called Arcana are at the center of the conflict. Twenty-three playable characters from across the Arcana Heart series represent a wide range of combat styles, from close-range brawlers and rushdown fighters to zoning specialists and charge characters. LOVE MAX!!!!! is a significant update to the original Arcana Heart 3, adding rebalanced mechanics, new content, and the Arcana Eclipse super move.

Each character selects one of 23 available Arcana before a match, which supplements their moveset with elemental attacks, defensive abilities, and unique passive stat adjustments. With 23 characters and 23 Arcana, the game offers 529 distinct character and Arcana pairings, each playing differently enough to reward extended experimentation. The Extend Force mechanic powers up both the character and Arcana simultaneously for a brief period, and a Reflection Guard lets players push opponents away and escape pressure. Over 300 unlockable story vignettes in the Gallery Mode depict slice-of-life scenarios across the cast's daily lives, providing a substantial amount of additional character content outside of matches.

Originally an arcade release in Japan before being ported by Aksys Games for PS3 and PS Vita, Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! released in North America on September 23, 2014. The series is published by Arc System Works in Japan and has maintained a dedicated following among fans of anime fighting games since the original Arcana Heart debuted in arcades in 2006. Cross-save between PS3 and PS Vita versions is supported.
