Aria The Scarlet Ammo AA - Blu-ray & DVD

Akari Mamiya is a first-year E-rank student at Tokyo Butei High School with one goal: to become the Amica — official partner and trainee — of Aria H. Kanzaki, the S-rank prodigy she has idolized since childhood. Aria agrees, reluctantly. Akari has latent abilities she has not yet learned to access, a tendency to transform when emotionally overwhelmed, and an absolute devotion to Aria that goes considerably beyond professional admiration. As Akari trains alongside a circle of fellow Butei students — each with their own combat specialties and personal complications — a threat called Akari's "Berserk" power draws the attention of dangerous parties, and the bond between Akari and Aria is tested by forces neither anticipated.

Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA is a 12-episode spinoff produced by Doga Kobo, directed by Minato Kazuto, written by Fumihiko Shimo and Masashi Sogo, scored by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, and based on Shogako Tachibana's manga spinoff of Chugaku Akamatsu's original light novel series — serialized in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine. The series aired in Japan from October to December 2015. The spinoff shifts focus from Kinji to Akari as protagonist while retaining Aria as a central figure. FUNimation released the Complete Series Blu-ray + DVD Combo on April 18, 2017 (FN-09123, UPC: 704400091230). An Essentials Blu-ray followed February 26, 2019. ANN lists the genres as action and comedy, with themes of fanservice, girls with guns, stalkers, and yuri.
