The real-time/turn-based hybrid combat system returns and is further refined, retaining the Action Points and Tactics Level mechanics fans know from the previous entries while introducing new wrinkles to keep battles fresh. Alchemy synthesis remains the beating heart of the game, with a deep crafting system that rewards experimentation and gradually reveals increasingly complex recipes and item chains. Series veterans can link save data from Atelier Ryza 1 and 2 to receive special in-game bonuses, and returning characters from across the trilogy reunite alongside newly introduced key allies essential to the story's conclusion.
