In Beautiful Bones: Sakurako's Investigation, Shotaro Tatewaki is a high school student with a rather unusual acquaintance: Sakurako Kujo, a beautiful and wealthy woman in her mid-twenties who is obsessed with bones. As a brilliant osteologist and forensic consultant, Sakurako has a "bone to pick" with every mystery she encounters, often dragging the reluctant Shotaro into grim investigations across Hokkaido. While Shotaro struggles to keep Sakurako from "borrowing" human remains for her personal collection, the duo uncovers the dark secrets hidden within the skeletons they exhume, proving that bones truly do tell the best stories.
