A mysterious virus is spreading through the shadows of Tokyo — one that doesn't just kill its hosts, but transforms them into demons. Komada and Koshigaya are Bio Hunters, a pair of scientists working in secret to find a cure and eliminate those already lost to the infection before they can cause mass destruction. The work is dangerous enough on its own, but Komada carries a darker burden: he himself is infected. Something in his immune system allows him to control the transformation, turning his affliction into a weapon — but for how long? Bio Hunter is a visceral, atmospheric horror OVA from the golden age of adult anime, carrying the unmistakable fingerprints of Yoshiaki Kawajiri — the visionary filmmaker behind Ninja Scroll and Wicked City — who served as screenwriter. Produced by Madhouse and directed by Yuzo Sato, the film delivers the genre hallmarks Kawajiri is known for: grotesque creature transformations, shadowy urban atmospheres, morally complex protagonists, and relentlessly kinetic action.
