Ryota Murakami is haunted by the death of his childhood friend, Kuroneko, who died in an accident while trying to prove the existence of aliens. Years later, as a high school student and member of the astronomy club, he meets a transfer student named Neko Kuroha who looks exactly like his lost friend. He soon discovers that she is a "Witch"—a human experiment with supernatural powers who has escaped from a secret laboratory. Along with other escapees, Ryota must help these girls survive while being hunted by a ruthless organization that will stop at nothing to retrieve their research.
