Cake Mania: Main Street for the Nintendo DS is the fourth entry in the hugely popular Cake Mania time management series — and the most ambitious yet, expanding far beyond the bakery to put players in charge of an entire downtown strip. When Jill and her friends discover their beloved hometown of Bakersfield is in danger of becoming a ghost town, they band together to open and upgrade four unique shops on Main Street: The Evans Bakery, Jack's Burger Barn, Risha's Flowers, and Tiny's Sumo Sushi.
For the first time in the series, players swap between multiple playable characters, each managing their own shop with completely different gameplay mechanics — Jack's burger joint and Tiny's sushi bar require players to assemble full meals from individual ingredients and pair them with drinks, while Jill's bakery and Risha's flower shop play closer to the classic Cake Mania formula.
Over 100 levels of fast-paced action keep the pressure on across all four shops, with each location offering 25 progressively challenging stages. Players can buy and sell over 50 unique shop upgrades, unlock 40 mouth-watering recipes using more than 35 distinct ingredients, and earn enough revenue to construct must-see tourist attractions that bring visitors flooding back to a revitalized Main Street.
