Set in 1792, Richter Belmont takes up the Vampire Killer whip on a mission into Dracula's castle to stop the Count's resurrection and rescue the women he has taken captive, including Richter's beloved Annette. Alongside Richter, players can unlock Maria Renard, a young girl with her own fighting style and animal-summoning abilities.Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for PSP is a 2.5D remake of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, the beloved 1993 PC Engine game that had never seen an official release outside Japan until this collection.

The remake rebuilds Rondo of Blood with polygonal 3D graphics while preserving the original 2D side-scrolling structure. New character artwork comes from Ayami Kojima, the designer behind the iconic look of Symphony of the Night. The game features branching stage paths, multiple endings, hidden areas to discover, and a Boss Rush mode. A song collection system lets players unlock and reassign tracks from across Castlevania history to create their own soundtrack.

The package includes two unlockable bonus games hidden within the UMD: the original PC Engine Rondo of Blood in its complete, unaltered form, and a fully playable version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This version of Symphony of the Night adds Maria as a playable protagonist (as in the Sega Saturn release) along with new voice acting and sound effects, and is the only official English-language release of the game on a Sony handheld. Both bonus games are unlocked by meeting specific in-game conditions.

Developed by Konami and released in North America in October 2007. The PSP's disc-based format means this is a single UMD housing three substantial Castlevania games in one package. This was also the first official opportunity for Western players to experience the original Rondo of Blood in any form.
