Relevant Notes About Chiho Saito & Be-Papas
The manga was created in collaboration with the Be-Papas creative group led by Kunihiko Ikuhara, whose interest in fairy-tale subversion and psychological symbolism shaped the narrative structure. Chiho Saito adapted the world into a manga format with an emphasis on emotional clarity and visual elegance, while maintaining the thematic intent of Ikuhara’s direction. Saito apprenticed early in her career under notable shōjo creator Moto Hagio, one of the most influential members of the Year 24 Group, whose impact on psychological shōjo storytelling directly shaped Saito’s narrative style.
