Cobra Command for the Sega CD is a laserdisc-style interactive movie shooter originally developed by Data East and ported to Sega CD by Wolf Team — part of the same lineage of FMV arcade games as Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. Players take the cockpit of the LX-3 Super Cobra attack helicopter on a global mission to neutralize a murderous military threat, flying through deserts, jungles, cities, and ocean environments as waves of enemy forces close in from all directions.

Gameplay is entirely on-rails and reflex-driven — the helicopter follows a fixed flight path through fully animated sequences, and players must fire heat-seeking missiles and heavy-caliber machine guns at enemy targets as they appear on screen. Quick-time directional inputs and button presses determine whether shots land or incoming fire is evaded. Missing critical prompts costs lives, and the game features branching paths that lead to different mission outcomes depending on player performance.

Originally a 1984 laserdisc arcade game that topped the Play Meter laserdisc charts in North America, Cobra Command was one of the more successful laserdisc titles of its era before being ported to Sega CD in 1992 — published by Data East in North America and released in Japan as Thunder Storm. It later received ports to PlayStation and Sega Saturn in Japan in 1995. A niche FMV collector's title and a piece of early arcade cinema history.
