Original Dirty Pair (OVA) DVD

Kei and Yuri — the Lovely Angels, the Dirty Pair, the 3WA's most effective and most dreaded Trouble Consultants — return in a new set of assignments that span prison breaks, steroid-pushing crime rings, mob infiltrations, cursed islands, cold-case murders, warring nations, religious cults, and at least one mafia don's wayward son who falls in love with Yuri at the worst possible moment. The cases are more varied than the TV series, the production values are higher, and the girls are just as unstoppable and just as catastrophic as ever. If you hired them, the job will get done. What remains of the surrounding infrastructure is a separate question.

The Dirty Pair OVA series — also known as Dirty Pair 2 or the Original Dirty Pair OVA — is a 10-episode OVA continuation of the original 1985 Dirty Pair TV series, produced by Studio Nue and Sunrise, directed by Masayoshi Tanidabe, and released in Japan from December 21, 1987. The series features higher production values than the TV series and a more polished visual style, and is scored by Kohei Tanaka — who also scored Dragon Half and One Piece. The opening theme "By Yourself" was performed by Miho Morikawa.

The English dub was produced by ADV Films and features Pamela Lauer as Kei and Jessica Calvello as Yuri — a different cast from any other Dirty Pair English production.

ADV Films released the OVA in North America across two DVD volumes. Nozomi Entertainment later re-licensed and released a remastered bilingual DVD on January 3, 2012, collecting all 10 episodes with both the English dub and Japanese audio for the first time.
