Dokapon Journey is a chaotic, party-RPG hybrid where friendships are tested, alliances break, and only one hero can claim the throne. Combining board-game movement with turn-based RPG battles, the game drops you into the kingdom of Dokapon, which has been overrun by monsters. The king promises fortune, fame, and even his daughter’s hand in marriage to whoever drives the creatures away—leading to absolute mayhem as players sabotage each other on the road to victory.

You move around a colorful overworld map, land on tiles that trigger battles, discover treasure, or get hit with traps. Combat is simple but strategic, with rock-paper-scissors-style choices (Attack / Defend / Counter). Along the way, you can change jobs (Warrior, Magician, Thief, and more), customize your stats, cast pranks on other players, steal equipment, or even rename rivals when you defeat them.

Known for its brutally funny rivalry mechanics, Dokapon Journey is one of the most entertaining multiplayer RPGs on the Nintendo DS.
