Dragon Ball Super - Part One Blu-Ray

Dragon Ball Super picks up after the defeat of Majin Buu, with Earth's Z Fighters enjoying a rare period of peace. That peace ends when Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from a long slumber after dreaming of a warrior called a Super Saiyan God — a being he has decided he wants to fight before destroying Earth. With Goku unable to defeat him as a Super Saiyan, the only hope is a ritual that requires the power of six righteous Saiyans to transform him. The Battle of Gods arc is the first major storyline of Dragon Ball Super, introducing Beerus and his angelic attendant Whis into the franchise's permanent cast.

Dragon Ball Super is the first new Dragon Ball television series in 18 years, premiering on Fuji TV on July 5, 2015, with an original story supervised by series creator Akira Toriyama. Produced by Toei Animation and directed across its run by Kimitoshi Chioka, Morio Hatano, Tatsuya Nagamine, and Ryōta Nakamura, the series ran 131 episodes through March 2018. The English dub was produced by FUNimation and aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim Toonami block from January 2017. Part One was released on Blu-ray by FUNimation on July 25, 2017, containing episodes 1–13 across 2 discs.
