The Dynastic Hero is a beautifully-redesigned version of Wonder Boy in Monster World, rebuilt for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM² with new character designs, new soundtrack arrangements, and a fantasy-Asian themed art style.

While the gameplay faithfully preserves the beloved action-RPG platforming of the original, nearly every visual element has been re-imagined — enemies, environments, icons, and even the protagonist — giving this version a unique identity compared to the Genesis / Mega Drive release.

You play as Dorin, a heroic warrior who travels across forests, deserts, caves, and castles to battle the insectoid Dark Force threatening the kingdom.
