Treasure Hunter G for the Super Famicom is a 1996 tactical role-playing game — developed by Sting Entertainment and published by Squaresoft — set in a fantasy world on the brink of resurrection-fueled chaos. Players follow the reckless young adventurer Red G and his brother Blue as they set out in search of their missing treasure-hunter father, Brown. Famous for being Squaresoft's final game released for the Super Famicom, the title features rendered 3D sprite graphics reminiscent of Super Mario RPG alongside a rich soundtrack composed by a collaborative team that included Hitoshi Sakimoto. World exploration plays out like a classic overhead 16-bit RPG, but battles transition into a grid-based tactical system powered by Action Points (AP).
