eX-Driver: The Movie DVD

Lisa, Lorna, and Souichi have just won the Japanese preliminary round of the eX-Driver championship and are sent to Los Angeles as Japan's representative team for the world race. Things go sideways immediately: a rogue AI car tears through LA on their first night, the main American team sponsor is implicated in illegal activity, and his daughter Angela has gone missing — last seen near that same rogue vehicle. When Souichi goes after Angela and gets captured himself, Lisa and Lorna are left to sort out a conspiracy involving the race, the sponsor, and a criminal operation that has more to do with their own profession than anyone anticipated.

éX-Driver: The Movie is a 62-minute theatrical film directed by Akira Nishimori and produced by Actas — the same studio as the OVA series — continuing the story of the three eX-Drivers from the original six-episode OVA. It was released in Japan on April 20, 2002 alongside the bonus short éX-Driver: Nina & Rei Danger Zone. The Nina & Rei Danger Zone short, directed by Shinichi Watanabe (Excel Saga, Tenchi GXP), runs approximately 30 minutes and serves as a prequel featuring two minor characters from the series as the top eX-Driver team.

The North American DVD was released by Geneon Entertainment on October 19, 2004.
