Satellizer el Bridget and the most powerful Pandora warriors in the world are summoned to a secret Chevalier facility in the Alaskan wilderness — ostensibly for joint training exercises. The real purpose, which becomes apparent quickly, is to support the E-Pandora project: a desperate attempt to engineer ordinary girls into Pandoras through accelerated genetic enhancement, bypassing the stigmata implant process entirely. The E-Pandoras are enthusiastic volunteers who believe they are making history. What they are actually experiencing is something considerably darker — an experimental protocol with a catastrophic failure rate that the Chevalier organization intends to conceal. As Satellizer and Kazuya investigate, the situation escalates from suspicious to monstrous, and the E-Pandoras themselves become the center of the season's most emotionally devastating arc.
Freezing Vibration is the 12-episode second season of Freezing, produced by A.C.G.T. and directed once again by Takashi Watanabe, airing on AT-X from October to December 2013. It adapts a different arc from Dal Young Im and Kwang Hyun Kim's manhwa than the first season — the Alaska arc — and is generally considered a significant improvement over Season 1 in terms of narrative focus and emotional weight, building to a climax that delivers genuine tragedy. Like Season 1, the home video release presents the uncensored version. Originally released in North America by FUNimation as a Limited Edition Blu-ray + DVD combo and Standard Edition on April 21, 2015; FUNimation Anime Classics reissue followed February 21, 2017, and an Essentials reissue on March 19, 2019.
