Twelve-year-old Mitsuki Koyama dreams of becoming a professional singer to fulfill a promise to her childhood love, Eichi Sakurai. However, she suffers from a malignant tumor in her throat, and a life-saving surgery could permanently cost her her vocal cords. Her world changes when she is visited by two shinigami, Takuto and Meroko, who reveal she only has one year left to live. Touched by her determination, Takuto uses his magic to temporarily transform her into a healthy 16-year-old. Under the stage name "Full Moon," Mitsuki undergoes a fierce audition and kickstarts her pop idol career. Navigating her fragile health, a strict grandmother who hates music, and the bittersweet secrets of the spirit world, Mitsuki sings with her entire soul to reach Eichi before her time runs out.
