Kagami stands with one hand planted on her hip and a small book open in the other, wearing the look of someone who has just finished lecturing a friend and is double-checking her facts. It's the sharp, studious twin at her most typical, serious and a little defensive, with a slight pout. She wears the pink and white sailor uniform of Ryou-ou High School with a pink neckerchief and pleated skirt, white socks and dark loafers, and her long lavender hair is tied in twin tails with brown ribbons.
Lucky Star is a slice-of-life comedy by Kagami Yoshimizu, first a four-panel manga and then a 2007 anime from Kyoto Animation. It follows the daily life of Konata Izumi, an easygoing otaku who loves games and anime, and her classmates at Ryou-ou High School. Her circle includes the polite, absent-minded Miyuki Takara and the Hiiragi twins. The series is built from small everyday scenes, such as lunch-table chatter, cram sessions, school trips and otaku in-jokes. Kagami is the older twin, hardworking and quick to snap, and she is the one most often stuck teasing and being teased by Konata.
