The globally influential animated film AKIRA, created by Katsuhiro Otomo in 1988, now has it's soundtrack remixed and fully produced by Otomo himself in the vinyl release of AKIRA: REMIX.
The unique, borderless sound performed by Geinoh Yamashirogumi, and written by Shoji Yamashiro, has continued to influence people both in Japan and abroad. The Akira OST was made available in 2016 in Ultra-high-quality Hypersonic High-Resolution audio. The analog version "Akira - Symphonic Suite" was released in 2017, and was based on the 2016 release by Milan Records in the United States. In 2020, the "Akira 4K Remaster Set" was released in theater and Blu-ray, upscaling the film from it's original resolution and improving the sound quality to a 5.1-channel audio remix overseen by music director Shoji Yamashiro.
In 2022, Katsuhiro Otomo himself planned and produced the anthology “Otomo the Complete Works,” which included the "Katsuhiro Otomo - Complete Collection Akira Cel Exhibition" held in August and October of 2023 at Mixalive Tokyo in Ikebukuro and Osaka Parco Gallery. Exclusive remixed tracks played from the OST were eventually released on CD as 'Akira: Remix' after being featured at specific exhibitions. For the remix version, Otomo personally selected three musicians: Makoto Kubota (formerly of Les Rallizes Dénudés, Makoto Kubota & Sunset Gang), Yasuharu Konishi (formerly of Pizzicato Five), and Kuniaki Haishima (known for the game 'Kowloon's Gate' for Playstation), who each handled the remixing.

Vinyl records are almost always shipped in wide whiplash mailers with a cardboard insert and a sheet of bubble. Opened/Pre-owned records are tested before shipment to insure good quality. Small corner dings on the record jacket are not allowed for exchanges.
Cassette tapes & CD's are shipped in bubble mailers.
Hats, toys, and figures are shipped in boxes.
Clothing are shipped in poly mailers.
