Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City: The Complete Edition for the PlayStation 3 is the definitive physical release of the GTA IV generation, bundling the full base game with both downloadable episode expansions on a single disc. Together the three campaigns represent over 60 hours of content set across a single reimagined version of New York City called Liberty City, one of the most densely realized urban environments in gaming history at the time of release.
Grand Theft Auto IV follows Niko Bellic, a war veteran from Eastern Europe who immigrates to Liberty City chasing the promise of the American Dream offered by his cousin Roman — and quickly discovers the reality of organized crime, debt, and betrayal. The Lost and Damned shifts perspective to Johnny Klebitz, the de facto leader of a biker gang called The Lost MC, whose story runs parallel to and intersects with Niko's at key points. The Ballad of Gay Tony follows Luis Lopez, a nightclub manager entangled with the city's luxury underworld through his boss Tony Prince — the most tonally distinct of the three campaigns, trading Niko's grim realism for a glossier, more satirical take on the same city.
All three campaigns share Liberty City's open world and can be explored freely between missions. The Episodes add new vehicle types, weapons, and activities absent from the base game, including a parachute, grenade launcher, and a golf cart. The Complete Edition is the only physical way to own all three campaigns together on PS4 without separate purchases.
