.hack//OUTBREAK Part 3, the crisis inside “The World” escalates dramatically as the server corruption spreads across entire areas, NPCs begin acting with human emotion, and the player-killer AI known as Morganna accelerates her plans. Kite and BlackRose search desperately for clues while more players fall into real-world comas, pushing the party into increasingly unstable fields filled with data bugs, glitch-ridden enemies, and sealed server blocks. The mystery now reaches a point where every choice carries real-world consequences.
OUTBREAK deepens the action-RPG gameplay with harder dungeons, higher-level Data Bugs, and new party strategies. Combat is fast and real-time, with Kite issuing commands to teammates, exploiting elemental weaknesses, and managing skills and items on the fly. Data Drain remains a key mechanic—risking corruption or backfiring if overused—while new, more dangerous enemies force players to balance healing, buffs, and precise timing. As server integrity collapses, Kite must break into corrupted areas, decode hidden keywords, and uncover Morganna’s true intentions to save his friends before the infection spirals out of control.
