Kodaka Hasegawa is a new transfer student at St. Chronica's Academy whose natural blond hair and permanently fierce expression have convinced every student in the school that he is a dangerous delinquent before he has said a single word. Friendless and resigned to it, he stumbles across Yozora Mikazuki — equally friendless, equally abrasive, and apparently in the middle of a conversation with her imaginary friend.

From this collision emerges the Neighbor's Club: a club for people who have no friends and no idea how to get them. It fills up quickly with the wrong people. Sena Kashiwazaki is the most popular girl in school — beautiful, academically perfect, athletically gifted — and completely incapable of relating to other girls, which makes her social life effectively nonexistent. Rika Shiguma is a genius scientist with no social filter and extremely specific interests. Yukimura wants to become manlier. Ten-year-old nun Maria has been talked into becoming their faculty advisor by Yozora. Kodaka's little sister Kobato is a committed gothic lolita chuunibyou. They play video games, go to the pool, watch anime, and practice social skills. None of them get noticeably better at friendship. All of them, gradually and unexpectedly, become friends anyway. 

Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends is a 12-episode series plus one OVA episode produced by AIC Build based on Yomi Hirasaka's light novel series.
