My Hero Academia: Vigilantes expands the MHA universe with grounded stakes, streetwise charm, and a focus on unsung, “everyman” heroes—offering a grittier, more intimate look at hero society before the main series’ events. Its blend of slice-of-life humor, urban action, and character-driven storytelling makes it one of the standout side stories in the franchise.

Hideyuki Furuhashi previously wrote Nurarihyon no Mago: Clan of Darkness and multiple light novels, bringing experience in supernatural action to the series.
