Relevant Notes About Hiromu Arakawa
Arakawa drew on her upbringing on a Hokkaido dairy farm and her interest in military history and ethics to craft themes of labor, war, and personal accountability. Early in her career she worked as an assistant to Hiroyuki Etō (Mahoujin Guru Guru), whose comedic timing and panel rhythm influenced her expressive layouts and character humor.
