In Humanity Has Declined, set in a post-apocalyptic future, humanity’s birth rates have plummeted, and society has regressed to a simpler, pre-industrial lifestyle. The dominant species on Earth is now the "Fairies"—tiny, highly intelligent, and absurdist creatures who possess god-like technology but live only for sweets and amusement. The story follows a young, cynical woman known only as "The Mediator," who works for the UN to facilitate peace between the dwindling humans and the eccentric fairies. From dealing with sentient processed chicken to time-looping school days, she must navigate a world that is as colorful and saccharine as it is deeply surreal and darkly satirical.
