The Hyperkin Duke Halo: Combat Evolved Cortana Limited Edition is a wired Xbox controller produced in collaboration with Xbox and 343 Industries to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved, released November 15, 2021 to coincide with the game's anniversary date. The Duke is Hyperkin's remake of the original oversized Xbox controller from 2001, updated with modern features while retaining the distinctive large form factor that defined the original Xbox launch lineup. This Cortana edition is finished in deep purple tinted translucent plastic inspired by Cortana's appearance in the original Halo: Combat Evolved, with Cortana's face printed on the right side of the controller body.
The Xbox button at the center of the controller plays a Cortana montage video on a small embedded screen when pressed, carrying over the startup animation feature from Hyperkin's standard Duke revival. Bumpers mirror the original Xbox's black and white button layout. Precision analog triggers provide variable input. Vibration feedback motors are built in. A 3.5mm headset jack handles audio passthrough. The detachable braided USB-C cable is 6 feet in length. Compatible with Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 PC. Not compatible with the original 2001 Xbox console.
