Infinite Stratos 2 - Blu-Ray

Ichika Orimura is back for a second semester at IS Academy, and the situation has not simplified. All five of his IS-piloting companions — Houki, Cecilia, Rin, Charlotte, and Laura — are still competing for his attention with varying degrees of patience. A new student council president arrives: Tatenashi Sarashiki, a water-element IS user whose personality is somewhere between playful and lethal. A mysterious group calling itself Phantom Task has begun launching attacks using unknown IS units and unknown pilots with unclear objectives. Ichika continues to be the only male IS pilot in the world, continues to be catastrophically oblivious, and continues to find himself in situations that would be easier if he were more perceptive.

Infinite Stratos 2 is a 12-episode second season produced by 8-Bit, directed by Noriyuki Abe — who also directed Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach — and written by Fumihiko Shimo, airing in Japan from October to December 2013. The season also produced two OVA episodes: Long Vacation Edition (39 min, October 2013) and World Purge (45 min, November 2014), plus the Infinite Wedding Picture Drama.

The Limited Edition Blu-ray was released January 24, 2017 — a B5-sized premium box that is a near-replica of the Japanese Blu-ray Disc Box, containing a 144-page B5 illustration artbook alongside the digipak holding 3 discs with all TV episodes, both OVAs, and the picture drama.
