Junjo Romantica - Season One DVD

Three intertwining love stories unfold across the pages of Junjou Romantica. In Romantica — the central story — Misaki Takahashi is a high school student cramming for his university entrance exams when his brother arranges a private tutor: the eccentric, world-famous novelist Usami Akihiko. Usami is brilliant, emotionally unpredictable, and increasingly interested in Misaki in a way that has nothing to do with exam preparation. In Egoist, Nowaki — whose name means "typhoon" — upends the careful, defended life of the literature professor Hiroki Kamijou with a force neither of them anticipated. In Terrorist, the university professor Miyagi hides his troubles behind a breezy smile until the relentless Shinobu appears and refuses to let him.

Junjou Romantica is a 12-episode boys' love romantic drama directed by Chiaki Kon, produced by Studio Deen, and based on Shungiku Nakamura's manga serialized in Asuka Ciel under Kadokawa Shoten. The first season aired from April to June 2008 on TV Hokkaido.
