King of Wolves blends historical fantasy, ultra-violent sword combat, time-travel adventure, and the raw intensity of early seinen storytelling, showcasing a brutal world through the eyes of a displaced modern fighter.

This manga represents an early collaboration between writer Buronson (of Fist of the North Star) and young artist Kentaro Miura, who would later create Berserk. Their partnership combines Buronson’s gritty, violent storytelling with Miura’s developing but already dynamic art style.
