KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! - Blu-Ray

Kazuma Sato is a shut-in teenager who dies of shock after a mundane encounter and wakes up before a goddess named Aqua who offers him a choice: reincarnate into a fantasy world or go to heaven. Kazuma chooses the fantasy world and is allowed to bring one item of his choosing. He brings Aqua herself. Aqua is immediately furious about this. Together they arrive in a world of adventurers, monsters, and demon lords — broke, homeless, and starting from the very bottom. They accumulate companions: Megumin, an arch-wizard who can cast exactly one spell per day, a massive explosion, after which she collapses and must be carried home; and Darkness, a crusader of excellent defensive capability who actively wants to be hit by enemies and is deeply, embarrassingly excited about it. The Demon Lord's defeat, which is nominally their goal, recedes as the immediate concerns of earning rent, not dying, and managing their spectacularly dysfunctional party dynamics consume all available energy.

KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! is a 10-episode comedy series plus one OVA produced by Studio Deen, directed by Takaomi Kanasaki — who also directed School Rumble Second Semester — written by Makoto Uezu, and based on Natsume Akatsuki's light novel series published under Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko label. The series is a parody of the isekai genre that helped define and revitalize comedic isekai as a distinct category.

Discotek Media released the Complete First Season + OVA on Blu-ray on May 26, 2020 — a single disc, 1080p AVC, with both the English dub and Japanese audio with English subtitles, and a slipcover on some editions.
