For Ami Kurata, a first-year college student with no athletic background and a tendency to trip over her own feet, the world of cycling begins with a simple, chance encounter. After falling in love with a folding bike she sees in front of a station, Ami pours her savings into purchasing her own "Pontas" and discovers a passion she never knew she possessed. What starts as a casual ride around the neighborhood quickly evolves into a journey toward the grueling, long-distance world of "brevets."
Alongside her childhood friend Aoi and a group of experienced upperclassmen from their university's cycling club, Ami learns that the road is as much about the destination as it is about the struggles faced along the way. From managing "bonking" (extreme exhaustion) to conquering steep mountain passes and braving the elements, Ami finds that every pedal stroke builds more than just muscle—it builds a sense of confidence and an unbreakable bond with her fellow riders.
