Takeshi Nanase's life hasn't been great since the accident that crippled his little brother, who blames Nanase for both that and stealing the girl he loved, while his parents have completely distanced themselves. Since Kurumi, his childhood friend, is not even really his girlfriend, the only thing that Takeshi has left is studying the art of Kendo. Until, that is, he discovers an unconscious girl in a strange uniform and suddenly finds himself in the business of rescuing damsels in distress, facing off against a group of magic users, and ends up with magical powers himself! Which, considering that he had no idea magic was even real, is quite a change in perspective. Unfortunately, all this means is that Takeshi now has a target on his back, and he's going to have to learn the basics really quickly if he expects to survive MAGICAL WARFARE!
