Sakamoto Days, written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, follows Taro Sakamoto, an unrivaled legendary hitman who abruptly retired from the underworld after falling in love. Years later, Sakamoto is a doting, overweight family man running a neighborhood convenience store, having promised his wife he would never kill again. However, his peaceful life is constantly interrupted when his violent past catches up to him, forcing Sakamoto to protect his family and community using his elite combat skills and creative weaponry—all while strictly adhering to his "no-kill" rule and maintaining his facade as an ordinary shopkeeper.

Other Notable Works by Yuto Suzuki 

Aside from his major serialization of Sakamoto Days, Yuto Suzuki is primarily known for several award-winning one-shot manga published through Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform. 

Garaku (骸区): Suzuki's debut work, published in Shonen Jump+ in April 2019. It is an action series featuring the character Takamura, a legendary executioner who later appears as a significant figure in the Sakamoto Days universe.

Locker Room (ロッカールーム): A supernatural thriller one-shot published in September 2019. The story follows a man who discovers a locker that can grant any wish in exchange for a sacrifice. This work also features Takamura and was later adapted into a live-action segment for the Japanese television series Tales of the Bizarre (Yoimo Kimyo na Monogatari).

SAKAMOTO (SAKAMOTO-サカモト-): Published in Jump GIGA in December 2019, this one-shot served as the original prototype for what would eventually become the Sakamoto Days serialization
