Usagi Tsukamoto is a clumsy, perpetually late middle schooler who transforms into Sailor Moon — champion of love and justice — after a talking cat named Luna reveals her destiny. Alongside her fellow Sailor Guardians, she fights to protect Earth from a succession of dark forces while slowly uncovering the truth about her past life as a princess of the Moon Kingdom and her connection to the mysterious Tuxedo Mask.
The Eternal Edition is the definitive English-language presentation of Naoko Takeuchi's landmark magical girl series — remastered and recompiled into ten extra-large volumes with premium paper, French flaps, holographic cover coating, and new cover illustrations by Takeuchi herself. Every color page from the original serialization run has been included in full color for the first time in any English edition, with a completely revised translation by Alethea and Athena Nibley and extensive notes covering the series' history and release legacy. Each volume runs approximately 300 pages, roughly double the page count of earlier English editions.
Originally serialized in Kodansha's Nakayoshi from 1992 to 1997, Sailor Moon went on to sell over 35 million copies worldwide and win the Kodansha Manga Award in 1993. The anime adaptation remains one of the most globally influential in the medium's history, credited with defining the magical girl genre and driving the first major wave of Western anime fandom.
