Negi Springfield is a ten-year-old prodigy from Wales who has just graduated from a magical academy. To become a full-fledged "Magister Magi," he is sent to Japan to serve as an English teacher at the prestigious Mahora Academy. However, there's a catch: his students are a class of 31 unpredictable girls, and he is strictly forbidden from using his magic. As Negi tries to navigate the classroom, he discovers that his students are far from ordinary. Whether he’s dealing with the athletic and feisty Asuna, the mysterious library explorer Nodoka, or the various other personalities in Class 2-A, Negi’s life becomes a whirlwind of secret pacts, hidden agendas, and unexpected magical threats. This 2005 adaptation stays closer to the initial tone of Ken Akamatsu’s original manga, focusing on the character-driven hijinks and the blossoming growth of the young wizard as he learns that being a teacher—and a hero—is harder than any spellbook could teach.
