One Piece - Collection 9 DVD

The Straw Hats have escaped Skypiea and are back on the Blue Sea, carrying enough gold to fund repairs to the increasingly battered Going Merry.

The collection opens with the conclusion of the Davy Back Fight against Foxy the Silver Fox — a pirate game competition where the stakes are crew members — before transitioning into the Water Seven arc. Arriving at the city of water built atop a sunken city, the crew discovers their ship may be beyond repair, their cash reserve is stolen by the Franky Family, and a shipbuilder named Iceberg is nearly assassinated — with Robin and Nami seen at the scene. Luffy and Usopp clash violently over what to do with the Going Merry, leading to Usopp's departure from the crew in one of the most emotionally devastating moments in the franchise. And behind everything, a shadowy World Government intelligence unit called CP9 is closing in on Robin for reasons connected to her past. 

One Piece is the ongoing pirate adventure series created by Eiichiro Oda, produced by Toei Animation, and directed in this era by Kōnosuke Uda and Munehisa Sakai. It aired on Fuji Television beginning October 20, 1999 and has surpassed 1,100 episodes, making it one of the longest-running anime in history. FUNimation began releasing the series in North America in 2007 Collections format beginning with Collection 1, presenting the uncut original Japanese version with both English dub and Japanese audio. Collection 9 covers episodes 206–230, running approximately 640 minutes across 4 discs, and was released April 15, 2014. The English dub for Collection 9 was recorded at FUNimation's Texas studios under ADR Director Mike McFarland.
