Operation Darkness - Xbox 360

Operation Darkness for the Xbox 360 is a tactical RPG developed by Success and published by Atlus, set in an alternate World War II where the Allied forces discover that Hitler has formed an alliance with Count Dracula and his vampire Blood Clan. To counter the occult threat, the Allies deploy the Wolf Pack — a covert unit composed of centuries-old British werewolves, Van Helsing's granddaughter, a descendant of Sir Lancelot, Dr. Frankenstein's monster, and an H.P. Lovecraft character — alongside conventional soldiers to fight through the Eastern and Western Fronts. The story weaves real historical events including D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge with its supernatural fiction, basing actual missions around documented military operations.

Combat takes place on turn-based grids where unit positioning, cover, elevation, and line of sight all affect outcomes. The squad includes specialized classes: snipers, medics, heavy weapons experts, and supernatural unit types that can transform into werewolf form to gain melee dominance. Magic abilities and weapon upgrades are available through leveling, and the cover system allows players to issue conditional orders to units. Xbox Live co-op supports up to four players for select missions.

The Wolf Pack's roster — spanning Van Helsing's descendant, werewolves, and a Frankenstein monster fighting Dracula's vampires and Nazi dragon-riders — is the game's most celebrated feature, and Hardcore Gaming 101 described its blending of historical fiction with supernatural horror as genuinely effective. Developed by Success and published by Atlus in North America on June 24, 2008. It remains an Xbox 360 exclusive and has not been ported to any other platform.
