Pokémon Ranger and The Temple of the Sea - DVD

While traveling through the Kanto region's Battle Frontier, Ash Ketchum, May, Brock, and Max cross paths with the Marina Group—a traveling family of water-show performers who are secretly descendants of the ancient People of the Water. The group is traveling alongside Jack Walker, a highly skilled operative of the Pokémon Ranger Union on a top-secret containment mission. Jack has rescued a glowing blue Egg containing the Mythical "Prince of the Sea," Manaphy, from the clutches of the ruthless high-seas pirate Captain Phantom. The greedy pirate aims to use the hatched Pokémon to locate the elusive, drifting Sea Temple of Samiya and plunder its legendary treasure, the Sea Crown, which grants its wearer dominion over the world's oceans. When the Egg hatches in May's arms, creating a deep, parental bond between her and the infant Pokémon, the young heroes are swept into an epic underwater chase across the ocean to return Manaphy to its ancestral home and secure the Sea Crown before Phantom triggers an ecological disaster that could flood the planet.

Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea is a feature-length anime adventure film produced by OLM (Oriental Light & Magic) — the powerhouse studio behind the entire Pokémon animated franchise, Berserk (1997) directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, written by Hideki Sonoda, and based on the massive multi-media franchise created by Satoshi Tajiri, Ken Sugimori, and Junichi Masuda. Serving as the ninth theatrical film in the franchise and the grand finale to the Advanced Generation (Battle Frontier) era, it originally debuted in Japanese theaters in July 2006 and made its highly anticipated North American home video debut the following spring. The film features a grand, orchestral soundtrack composed by Shinji Miyazaki, which beautifully heightens the transition from standard creature-battling to high-stakes oceanic exploration and mythological fantasy. The English language version was produced by Pokémon USA, Inc. and TAJ Productions, marking the historical first feature film to utilize the recast New York-based voice cast that assumed roles during the TV series' ninth season.

The Special Edition DVD Box Set — containing the complete feature-length movie across an anamorphic widescreen main presentation, a runtime of approximately 101 minutes, and an unrated/all-ages certification. Special features include the animated short film "Pikachu's Island Adventure."
