Every year, the citizens of Fula City gather to celebrate the Wind Festival, honoring the Legendary Pokémon Lugia, who once saved the town and promised to bless it with life-giving wind. Ash Ketchum and his loyal partner Pikachu arrive in town just in time for the festivities, where they cross paths with a diverse group of strangers: Lisa, a novice trainer trying to catch a Pokémon for her injured brother; Callahan, a compulsive teller of tall tales who wants to impress his young niece; Toren, an excessively shy Pokémon researcher lacking confidence; Harriet, an eccentric elderly woman who secretly despises Pokémon; and Margo, a mysterious young girl guarding a dark secret in the surrounding forest. When a sudden series of disasters threatens the city's air supply and puts the reclusive Mythical Pokémon Zeraora in danger, these five unlikely individuals must set aside their differences and combine their strengths to save their home.
Directed by Tetsuo Yajima (Pokémon XY) and produced by OLM (Pokémon franchise, Berserk) in collaboration with WIT Studio (Attack on Titan, Spy x Family), 2018's Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us (Gekijō-ban Poketto Monster: Minna no Monogatari) stands as the 21st feature film in the iconic franchise. Building upon the alternate-continuity timeline established in 2017's I Choose You!, the film delivers a fresh visual style, gorgeous expressive animation, and an emotionally driven ensemble narrative that highlights how humans and Pokémon inspire one another.
