Pokémon Trozei! for the Nintendo DS is a fast-paced puzzle game that blends the addictive tile-matching gameplay of Tetris with the world of Pokémon.
Using the touch screen, players slide falling Pokémon puzzle pieces across both DS screens and line up four or more of the same Pokémon in a row — horizontally or vertically — to create a "Trozei" and clear them from the board.
The real challenge lies not in simply surviving but in chaining combos and setting up longer matches of five or more to rack up high scores and unlock rare Pokémon. A special Ditto tile can be used to substitute for any Pokémon type, helping skilled players snag rare species that rarely appear in multiples. The Adventure mode sends players on a mission to rescue stolen Pokémon and expose the evil plans of the Phobos Battalion across a series of increasingly challenging stages.
Over 380 Pokémon appear as puzzle pieces in total. A single-card wireless download mode lets you share a limited version of the game with friends, allowing two players to battle or cooperate using just one cartridge.
