Dragon Warrior I & II: Prima's Official Strategy Guide is the complete companion guide for the Game Boy Color compilation release of Dragon Warrior I and Dragon Warrior II, published by Prima Games in August 2000.
Dragon Warrior I — the game that launched the entire Dragon Quest franchise on Famicom in 1986 — follows the lone descendant of the hero Erdrick on a quest to defeat the Dragonlord and rescue Princess Gwaelin.
Dragon Warrior II expands the world dramatically, introducing a three-character party system and a much larger overworld as three descendants of Erdrick band together to stop the sorcerer Hargon.
The GBC versions were developed by Enix with enhanced visuals, updated color graphics, new cut scenes, and quality-of-life improvements while preserving the look, feel, and difficulty of the originals.
