Queen's Blade: Rebellion - Blu-ray

The Queen's Blade tournament is over. Claudette Vance won — the eldest daughter of the Vance family, who fought her way to the throne under the banner of justice. But power, as it turns out, does not leave justice untouched. Claudette's reign has hardened into something the people who supported her no longer recognize: the Church of Claudette has become the state religion, heresy is persecuted, and the Queen's own assassins keep order by eliminating dissent. Into this climate arrives Annelotte, a young knight errant of mysterious and powerful ability who encounters the dispossessed survivors of the old order — the elven alchemist Yuit and her android companion Vante, the half-demon Ymir's rival, the undead pirate captain Lilliana, the dragon maid Sigui, and others — and becomes the center of a growing rebellion against the throne. Who Annelotte actually is, and her connection to the Queen, is the mystery threading through the series.

Queen's Blade: Rebellion is a 12-episode fantasy action sequel series produced by Arms — the studio behind Kite, Elfen Lied, and the original Queen's Blade seasons — directed by Yosei Morino, based on Hobby Japan's Queen's Blade visual combat book franchise. It aired on AT-X from April to June 2012 as the third full anime season in the Queen's Blade franchise. The series maintains the franchise's defining characteristics: a large cast of female warriors with detailed individual designs from prominent artists, action sequences that involve significant clothing destruction, and an underlying fantasy political framework considerably more detailed than necessary for a series of this type. The Sentai Filmworks Complete Collection Blu-ray was released September 24, 2013 at an original SRP of $69.98 — subtitle only, no English dub — with 6 Queen's Blade Audio Dramas and 6 Queen's Blade Omake shorts as bonus content, alongside three clean closing animations and a clean opening.
