Hinako is a surf-loving college student who moves to a coastal town, only to find her life turned upside down when a fire breaks out in her apartment building. She is rescued by Minato, a brave and talented firefighter with a heart of gold. The two quickly fall in love, spending their days catching waves and dreaming of a future together. But when tragedy strikes and Minato loses his life in a drenching accident, Hinako is left devastated. Just as she begins to lose hope, she discovers that whenever she sings "their song," Minato appears in the water—be it a cup, a bathtub, or the vast ocean. As they navigate this strange, watery reunion, Hinako must find the strength to truly "ride her own wave" and move forward.
